We are all on different life paths, and we all have stories to tell. You are a significant being;
your life story and experiences are important.
I feel at this time, humanity as a whole is being tested. Therefore, we need to connect more
than ever through sharing emotional experiences and helping each other on this healing
journey.
As we witness rapid changes in the landscape of the world we loved and knew, this can put
us in immense discomfort and create profound stress for our mental and emotional health.
As a result, there is a mounting detrimental impact on our psychological well-being.
"Society is collapsing, and people are starting to recognize that the reason they feel like
they're mentally ill is that they're living in a system that's not designed to suit the human
spirit." — Russell Brand.
No one likes change because it is uncomfortable! However, life changes al of the time. This
test of time is an opportunity for growth and creativity. And, yes, the transition can be
painful.
But wouldn't you want to flow with change rather than stay stuck and live a sedentary life?
How to cope with stress of change?
To start, we must accept change and embrace it. We must also play an active role in our life.
This role comes with responsibility.
A time of change is an opportunity to birth something new and bring it to the new world
that is being born.
So, let's take a look at some of these areas of opportunity to create personal change.
Self-reliance—gives you the power to control your destiny. Remember, you are the most
powerful being on the planet. You are in charge of your life and the choices you make for
yourself. Do not give your power away by allowing someone else to be in charge of you! You
are equipped with everything to thrive (Creator-God within, love, joy, strength).
Shift your thinking!—you must detach from old unhealthy habits and programming that
do not serve your highest and best interest. Instead of thinking you are under "immense
stress," shift your mind into thinking you are under "Divine pressure to beget something
great!" Your brain works like a computer, so be sure you are the only person programming it.
Otherwise, someone else will.
Create new mental routines—get into the habit of seeing your life's situations and
circumstances differently— for instance, when you come across a dandelion flower, do you
see it as a weed, or do you see it as a wish? A change in your perspective can significantly
reduce your stress levels! Be mindful of your thoughts and actions. Negative self-talk can
cause more stress. Before you speak, ask yourself, was it kind, necessary, or helpful?
"The moment you change your perception is the moment you rewrite the chemistry of your
body." — Dr. Bruce H. Lipton.
Raising your vibration—is key to happiness and longevity. When you are in a constant
state of unconditional love and joy, low-vibration emotions such as fear and despair cannot
simultaneously coexist in your mind. So instead, focus on the good in your life. What are
you grateful for today? I find that listening to positive and inspiring talks or listening to
music I love dramatically uplifts my mood.
Daily meditation—is a great practice to quieten down the mind chatter. Master the art of
silence! You can start slow and go at your own pace. Start with taking five minutes to sit in
pure meditative silence daily, and gradually increase the minutes as you feel more
comfortable and ready to progress. Be gentle with yourself.
Daily afrmations—taking small steps to change your habitual thoughts can drastically
improve your life. Start your day by reciting these few simple affirmations upon waking.
I am Divinely protected and guided.
I am happy, and I am healthy.
I am aligned with my highest purpose.
Today is a good day!
Being active—If you have kids or pets, play with them! The unconditional love from your
children and pets can reduce stress and can also be very healing. Make a point to laugh more
and do things that bring you smiles. Walking outside or in nature is an excellent way to get
your serotonin levels up, the "happy hormone" produced in your body.
"The human spirit needs places where the hands of man have not rearranged nature."
Bring out the artist in you!—creativity allows your soul to speak through you. If you like
using your hands, paint, draw or cook. If you enjoy using your voice, sing. Or, if you have a
great mind, use it to write or start a business. The possibilities are endless!
Join a support group or try talk therapy—traditionally a preferred method for manythis could benefit you in many ways.
Stop watching the news!—the media sells fear, division, destruction, and confusion.
Their job is to keep you in fear and opposition to love, unity, peace, clarity, and most
significantly, your connection to the Divine!
Minimize your negative daily intake—by staying away from toxic people and situations,
you can drastically reduce your stress level. You will become what you surround yourself
with, as energies are contagious.
The key to a happy life is to be free from emotional and mental trauma. This requires your
courage to take action.
